About the role

at Univision Chicago is looking for a Photographer/editor to join our team! Univision Chicago, has an immediate opening for a full-time photographer/editor.  This position will be responsible for shooting and editing for the station’s newscasts.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: shooting, editing, daily newsgathering, and reporting as well as appearances at community and station events in a fast-paced, extremely competitive market.

What you'll bring

• Our photographers work hand in hand with reporters and producers.
• We are looking for a passionate storyteller.
• Willing to work in a deadline driven environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills both written and oral
• A thorough knowledge of all ENG practices is required.
• Must have working knowledge of television news photography and technology
• Must be able to shoot with P2 and XD Cameras, and edit under deadline pressure
• Avid and Adobe CS Suite required
• Must have and maintain a good driving record and a valid driver’s license, along with the ability to drive daily
• Personal computer experience required, including non-linear editing equipment
• Needs to be able to work on tight deadlines, with a reporter or independently
• Able to improvise when situation warrants
