Description

  • Develop and write operations and maintenance documents for the SSCVS Project.
  • Coordinates complex jobs under limited supervision. May act as a lead writer/editor.
  • Coordinates highly complex jobs independently or may participate as publications representative on multi-disciplined groups planning and executing major projects. Assists other technical editing staff, as required. May review work of other technical editing staff members. Conducts research to support document production.
  • Maintains document and resource files (support matter).
  • Responsible for electronic file management which may include access and configuration control.
  • Monitors job progress and alerts responsible supervisor when schedules appear to be in jeopardy.
  • May provide production data for performance metrics. Edits and/or rewrites draft documents to new and/or existing procedures and ensures compliance with applicable guidelines.
  • Reviews document requirements with customers. Recommends and coordinates document formatting, graphic design, and reprographics, resolves editorial and/or content issues and provides any additional editorial support.
  • Plans, writes, edits, and proofreads simple to highly complex documents.

Job Requirements

PPA Certified and Previous DOE Procedure Writing.
