Responsible for researching, writing, and editing materials for internal summaries, publications, abstracts/posters, white papers, presentations, final reports, sections of a clinical protocol. Occasionally contribute to regulatory submissions and sponsored clinical trials. Support medical writing for marketing materials, website, and advertising related to recruiting for clinical screening and trials. Work collaboratively with R&D subject matter experts, Clinical Project Managers, Clinical Trial Associates, and subject matter experts from other departments. Lead multiple, concurrent projects with support from the team. Ensure quality of content and format of writing projects in accord with applicable regulations, guidelines, and corporate SOPs.

Master's Degree in Applied or Life Science or Communications or related experience with bachelor's in lieu of graduate degree. 2 years of medical or clinical writing experience with scientific publication experience equivalent training and work experience (with peer review publication), including coursework. 1-year direct experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Be able to share a sample of either a prior peer review, scientific publication, or any other trade journal articles written. Ophthalmology writing experience is preferred.
