Description
- Plan and conduct fitness classes for residents, incorporating a variety of exercises suitable for different fitness levels
- Provide guidance on proper exercise techniques and modifications to accommodate individual needs and limitations
- Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages resident participation and engagement in fitness activities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure fitness programs align with residents' health goals and medical considerations
- Monitor and record residents' progress, adjusting programs as needed to promote continuous improvement
- Lead group sessions on site (yoga, stretching, core strength, mobility & flexibility training)
Job Requirements
- Certified Fitness Instructor or related fitness certification
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience working with diverse populations, especially older adults or individuals with varying health conditions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to create and maintain a safe and welcoming fitness environment
