Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Flat Welders for projects located in and around the De Pere, WI area. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of up to $35/hour based on experience plus $100/day per diem for Travelers of 60+ miles from the job site.   • Operate hand welding equipment to join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products

  • Maintain & keep welding equipment in good working order, free of debris, & perform proper maintenance

  • Maintain clean equipment tools & work area

  • Record an accurate log of job times & specifications for audit reports

  • Accurately read weld symbols

  • Weld within tight tolerances

  • GTAW & GMAW welding

  • TIG welding on 1/16 aluminum & stainless steel to 1/2 thick

  • Other tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

  • 5+ Years of Experience in Flat Welding, TIG on Aluminum

  • Weld Test

  • Ability to read blueprints, work orders, instructions, formulas, and/or processing charts to ensure precise & accurate welding

  • GTAW & GMAW Welding Abilities

  • TIG Welding Experience on 1/16 Aluminum & Stainless Steel to 1/2 Thick

  • Understanding of Distortion Control
