Description

  • Reviewing project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents to understand project requirements
  • Collaborating with architects, contractors, and project managers to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation
  • Analyzing project scope, materials, labor, and other factors to prepare detailed and competitive project bids
  • Utilizing estimating software and tools to perform precise cost calculations and generate comprehensive project proposals
  • Conducting thorough research to identify cost-effective sourcing options for materials and subcontractor services
  • Communicating effectively with clients to address inquiries, clarify project details, and negotiate terms as needed
  • Providing ongoing support to the sales and project management teams by assisting with cost-related inquiries and adjustments
  • Maintaining accurate records of project estimates, bid submissions, and related documentation

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably within the construction or architectural millwork industry
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to perform accurate cost calculations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
